Carbolite - Tips before installation
Carbolite sheets are UV protected on both sides. Always keep the plastic on while storing as twin wall polycarbonate can scratch.
Carbolite sheets are not recommended on roofs with slope less than 5 degrees (87 mm per metre). Carbolite sheets should always be installed with ribs running vertically. Failure to do so could result in the growth of algae within the ribs.
Refer  engineer specs. Carbolite sheets together with the H Bars must be screwed down every 1600mm..
Carbolite sheets can be cut using a sharp knife, handsaw, jigsaw or circular saw with a fine tooth blade.Be extra careful with swarf as it is very difficult to get out of open flutes.
Before fastening Carbolite sheets, it is necessary to seal both ends of the sheet with Carbolite self adhesive tapes. The top end of the sheet should be sealed with the closed cell tape and the bottom end with a butyltape. To prevent moisture, dust or insect penetration Carbolite polycarbonate U-profiles must be installed at either end of the sheet.
See Below CARBOLITE provides a detailed installation guide sent with purchased goods.
